Draft Letter of Request for Membership Nominations Is Posted for Your Editorial Review
Greetings,
Just posted is a draft of the letter of request for membership nominations to the Ag-Bio Cluster Leadership Council. This is a wiki page which means you can edit directly on the page, post your changes to the group through a separate message, or add a comment to this particular message. Regardless, submit your feedback so it is taken into consideration with future drafts.
Included in the draft letter is a timeline for us to follow as we head across the next two months until the first meeting of the Leadership Council is convened on 2 September. In summary, that timeline is as follows:
Letters of request emailed to recipients: Monday, 6 July
Nominations due back to Rod and Stu: Wednesday, 15 July
Selection of members done: Wednesday, 29 July
Confirmation of members complete: Wednesday, 19 August
Kick-off meeting of Leadership Council: Wednesday, 2 September
To honor this timeline from the outset, we need to have the draft letter finalized and sent by Monday, 6 July. Please give the draft your consideration as soon as possible and post any changes you may have so they are adapted to the next version. Stu and Rod are welcome to download / print the final version on the 6th and send to the list of recipients yet that day.

Just one hitch, I don't think we have the list of recipients that we've envisioned for the request for nominations. Hence the letter requesting assistance with distributing the nomination list, in a separate post.
Hopefully we can fire that off very soon but it may delay the scehdule for getting nominations back.

I've tried twice now to post edits to the letter, but can't seem to get it to work - it keeps asking me for a title, but the title field isn't active/won't accept characters. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry for the difficulty. I sent a note to Sam Rose asking him to clarify the procedure for open editing of wiki pages by members of the Ag-Bio group as well as how revisions are tracked by time stamp and contributor. His response, which will probably be made after the holiday weekend, will be posted to the group. Thanks for your patience.
