"The Revitalization of Iraq's Agriculture, Presented by Bill Huston, Farm Service Agency   Friday, September 25, 2009, 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.   For 13 months, Bill Huston worked as an agricultural advisor on the Provincial Reconstruction Team in the Diyala Province of Iraq. This program was part of the civilian surge that coincided with the military surge. The agricultural advisors spent half their time working with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and half their time working with farmers and farm organizations. Bill’s presentation will explain the challenges and opportunities that confront Iraqi farmers and agriculture’s link to the reconstruction of Iraq. Bill Huston has been employed for 23 years as the County Executive Director for Farm Service Agency at the Muskingum-Morgan County office. He also farms, with his family, a 200 acre fruit and vegetable farm near Dresden.
