Greetings, we'll use this group to check in with the group from time to time to see how it's going and to give you a way to stay in touch.  It's open for others to join, and you may want to invite folks who would likely be interested in helping with this project.

Best, Casey

I'm looking forward to moving ahead on this project, and am excited to make further connections!  I'll be contacting the OSU student groups, dining offices, and sustainability offices who will be pleased to join the project, and expect that new partners will emerge as well.

Article about a Red Meat Market which is a branded meat service. Bundling with other products or CSA programs is certainly an alternative.

Please spread the word so we can achieve the goal of raising at least $3000 to a travel fund for Michelle Ajamian & Brandon Jaeger to attend our appointment as delegates to Terra Madre in Italy. This year, the focus is Feeding the Planet. We've raised $1000 so far, but we must make our reservations in 2-3 weeks, so we are getting anxious.
Pass the description to your network and please make a donation in whatever amount you can afford so we can share our work with this incredible international community out to preserve foodways and end hunger.

Today through Monday, the Fund for Our Economic Future invites you join Northeast Ohio experts in a two-day, online forum about metrics related to Transportation and Sustainability.  Have the variables that “matter most” to the economy changed in recent years?  Are there new or different data that we should be looking at?

Goodness Grows held three taste tests in June as a part of this project, "Youngstown Eats Local Produce," as I call it.  Our focus crops were strawberries, rhubarb, zucchini, and peas.   Two sessions were held at Boardman High School with students studying for the Ohio Graduation Test, and one session was with elementary students at Camp Newport, a day-camp and summer lunch program on Youngstown's south side. We had between 15 and 20 students at each tasting, which is ten or twenty students fewer than we expected each time.

Here is the latest issue of ED Now, a publication of the International Economic Development Council.  It contains several articles pertaining to using food and food systems to grow local economies.  I thought you would be interested in seeing them.  It does demonstrate the growing interest in this subject  and will lead (hopefully) to a broader view of “ag” economic development that includes the agbiosciences as whole.

Received an email from JumpStart with a link to FounderSync: http://www.foundersync.com

Seems the thrust of the site overlaps, somewhat, with what is trying to be accomplished here. The site notes it matches co-founders.
